Unreleased
0.2.5 (2026-10-30)
Improved
- Items Riftline can’t name yet (gathered, looted or in your bag) are shared with Riftline Online, so a name found by one player shows up for everyone, sooner and without asking AION2 Hub again. Only the item numbers and names are sent, nothing about you, and only while error reports or uploads are on.
- The Settings window opens where you last left it, at the size you gave it.
- Escape closes the Settings and Fights windows (your changes are kept, like the × button).
- “Reset this page” only shows on pages that have settings to reset.
- Pressing “Start over at 0” on the bus count, or the new-session button on the Gathering panel, now shows an Undo button for six seconds, in case it was a stray click.
- The tray entry reads “Stop recording” while a recording is running, and “Record this session” otherwise.
- Clicking a colour on the palette shelf (Effects and colours) says “Copied #3DF5D0” under the shelf.
- Home says “Riftline is running.” before your character is found, and the packets and hits line is translated.
- Settings > Windows no longer shows “Bring forward” on a window that is hidden; Show does that job.
- The Settings search box fits a narrow window, and “Unsaved changes”, “Saved” and the reset question are now in Korean and Chinese too.
Fixed
- Updates install again for everyone who got stuck: an update check could undo the note that the last update started fine, so every launch after that skipped installing the next one.
- After a map change your earlier hits stay on your own row (your colour and name style) instead of showing as a stranger’s row for a moment when the meter comes back between fights.
- Copy code in Settings › Backup & restore no longer opens the “Riftline hit a problem” window when another program is using the clipboard. It says to try again instead. Other Copy buttons now say when the clipboard is busy too.
- The Recording page’s button says Start recording or Stop and save, and the status line updates as soon as you press it.
- Deleting an alarm or a character preset, forgetting a character or learned cooldowns, and putting every window back in place now ask first, so one stray click can’t undo your setup.
- Buttons that used to give no sign now confirm: Copy in the report preview says Copied, Apply on a preset says Applied, and Start over in Gathering says New session started.
- Open folder and Open logs in Settings › About say what went wrong (and where the folder is) instead of doing nothing.
- In the Fights window, Escape clears the search, and the search box shows its Ctrl+F shortcut.
0.2.4 (2026-10-30)
Improved
- The party total in the meter header now reads “Party 1.58M/s” instead of a maths sign.
- Settings says “✓ Saved” when you press Save.
- The field boss window follows the meter’s window theme.
- Locking the meter now says how to unlock it (Alt+click, or Ctrl+Alt+L) right on the meter for a few seconds.
- A locked meter lets your clicks through to the game again; Alt+click reaches the meter (unlock, Update). It no longer disappears right after you lock it: the fade timer counts from when you last touched it.
- “Fade out between fights” waits 60 seconds by default instead of 20 (you can set up to 10 minutes), so the meter doesn’t vanish between pulls. If you were on the old 20 seconds, you’re moved to 60.
Fixed
- If “Show my character name” was already on when Riftline first registered your character, the website kept your name hidden. It now follows your setting right away.
- Launch and update cards no longer pull the keyboard away from the game. Character-panel shortcuts also open without changing keyboard focus.
- Typing in a character panel gives the keyboard back to the game as soon as you leave the text box. “Bring forward” in Settings › Windows raises an overlay without taking the keyboard. A rolled-back update is reported in the tray instead of a pop-up over the game.
New
- When a new Riftline is ready, a small “Update” chip appears on the meter. Click it to restart into the new version right away (it works on a locked meter too; in a fight it waits). Riftline now checks for updates every hour.
Improved
- Items Riftline didn’t know (like Sapphire Gemstone) are now looked up and named automatically, with their pictures, in Gathering and Loot. Gathering and Loot rows also show each item’s picture with a grade-coloured edge.
0.2.3 (2026-10-30)
Improved
- The Settings window shows which Riftline version you’re running, bottom right.
New
- Character pages on the website: your gear by slot like the in-game screen, stats, Daevanion, titles, wings and pet (the official character data), plus what only Riftline knows: Odyle energy, kinah, Abyss points, entry counts, all your characters and how they grow over time. On by default; “Show my progress on my character page” in Riftline Online turns your part off.
0.2.2 (2026-10-30)
New
- Riftline recognises your character by itself: a popup shows your name and server the first time it sees you, and Settings shows who you are at the top. With uploads on, your character is registered with Riftline Online automatically. No in-game code or whisper needed.
- The meter preview in Settings uses your own name for your row.
Improved
- “Show my character name” only switches on once Riftline Online confirms it. If it can’t reach the server, the switch stays off and says why.
Fixed
- Clicking the meter or any other overlay no longer takes the keyboard away from the game, so your skill keys keep working. Typing into a panel’s search box still works.
Behind the scenes
- Riftline now notices and reports by itself if one of its overlays ever takes the keyboard from the game, or if Settings opens with pages missing.
- Error reports and “Report a problem” are accepted only from Riftline itself, like fight uploads.
0.2.1 (2026-10-29)
Fixed
- On a new install, Settings was missing Riftline Online and most of the System pages (General, Backup & restore, Windows, In-game overlay, Recording, Diagnostics & feedback, About) until Riftline was restarted. Every page is there from the first launch now.
- In a narrow Settings window, the live meter preview squeezed the settings into a column one word wide. The preview now steps aside until the window is wider.
Behind the scenes
- Leaderboards are ready on the server (boss, DPS, fastest kills, classes, top players, recent kills and character pages). They open on the website once switched on; only kills you chose to list will ever appear.
- Support can now check on any PC that error reports and “Report a problem” reach us, with one switch.
0.2.0 (2026-10-29)
The first public release.
New
- Live DPS meter that fills in by itself when you fight, with boss health, rankings within your party and per-skill detail.
- Fight history: every boss fight saved, with a full report, timeline and comparison to your earlier tries.
- Combat assist for your class, alerts for dangerous boss moves, and field boss timers.
- Riftline Online (off until you turn it on): a private link to each fight’s page on h4x.si.
- Summons and traps are credited to the player who placed them.
- Your choice of looks: name effects, bar materials, rank badges, skins and backgrounds.
- In-game overlay through RivaTuner (optional).
- Updates install by themselves at launch. Every update is signed, and a version that fails to start is rolled back.
- Report a problem from the tray menu. Error reports are sent automatically, with names and personal details removed, so problems get fixed without you having to write in.
Fixed (during testing)
- Damage totals now match the boss health actually lost, even when you join mid-fight or the boss heals or shields.
- The “get out” alert no longer fires for moves that hit the whole party at once.
- Columns on the meter no longer slowly creep wider.
- Windows closed and reopened no longer crash, and a single error no longer stops timers.
