About and privacy

How it works

  1. 01

    The meter records

Riftline keeps a log of each boss fight on your PC, the same log it uses to draw the live meter.

  2. 02

    You choose to upload

With “Upload my fights” on, the event log of a boss fight is sent, signed by your install.

  3. 03

    The server recomputes

Every number is rebuilt from the log with the same combat code the meter uses. Claimed totals are only a checksum.

  4. 04

    You get a link

An unlisted report link, usually within ten seconds. Only you see it in My Riftline.

Privacy policy (draft)

Draft, needs review

Draft for review. Placeholders in brackets are filled in before launch. · Draft 0.3 · 2026-10-30

1. Who is responsible

The controller for Riftline Online is [Controller name], [Postal address], [Country]. Contact: support@solve4x.ai.

2. Riftline Online fight uploads: only if you turn them on

No fight is sent until you turn on “Upload my fights” in Riftline. (Error reports are separate; see below.)

With uploads on: the combat log of each boss fight (hits, heals, buffs, boss health, deaths and timing), the game region and server, and a public key made by your Riftline install so we can tell your uploads apart. There is no account, email or password.

Your character name, server and class are stored only if you also turn on “Show my name”. Until you prove the character is yours in game, the name is never shown on anyone else’s report.

Our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) for [N] days for security.

3. Other players in your fights

Party members who have not opted in are stored as a class and a number (“Gladiator #3”). Their names never reach our servers; Riftline replaces them before upload. A keyed hash lets us match the same anonymous player across uploads of the same kill, and cannot be turned back into a name.

4. Error reports from the Riftline app (on by default)

When the Riftline app hits an error, or quietly stops working (for example the game is running but no game data arrives, or an upload keeps failing), it sends an error report to our server. This is on by default, because nobody can ask you about a problem afterwards; Riftline says so the first time it starts. You can turn it off at any time in Riftline under Settings › Diagnostics & feedback, and “Show me the last report” there shows exactly what was sent.

A report holds: what went wrong (the error and where in Riftline’s code it happened); your last steps in Riftline (windows opened, which settings changed but not their values, fights starting and ending, hotkeys); the last log lines; how well the game was being read (packet and error counts); performance (CPU, memory, frame rate); and your PC’s setup (Windows version, screens and scaling, graphics card, memory, Npcap and RivaTuner versions, and Riftline’s version, language and settings without names, paths or keys). It also carries a random id made by your install, or your install key if Riftline Online is on, so reports from one PC can be grouped.

Before a report leaves your PC, Riftline takes out the character and player names it knows, your Windows user name and PC name, IP addresses, keys, tokens and passwords, and anything that looks like an e-mail address. Our server runs the same kind of check again before storing it. Game traffic is never part of an automatic report.

Riftline sends at most 10 reports an hour and 50 a day, and the same problem at most once an hour (with a count of how often it happened). Your IP address is used only as a keyed hash to limit how many reports arrive; the address itself is not stored with the report.

Error reports and Report a problem are signed with your Riftline install’s key: a random key made on your PC that says nothing about you. The server accepts reports only from Riftline.

5. Report a problem (only when you send it)

From Riftline’s tray menu or Settings you can send a bug report, an idea or anything else. You choose what goes with it: a diagnostic report like the one above (ticked by default for bugs), a picture of the meter (it shows the names on it) and the last 2 minutes of game traffic. Riftline shows everything that will be sent before it goes, and gives you a reference code.

Game traffic contains other players’ names and chat. It is attached only if you tick it, used only to reproduce your bug, and deleted after 30 days.

A contact (Discord name or e-mail) is optional and used only to reply to that report.

6. Why we process it

Fight uploads and name display: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in Riftline or on My Riftline.

Security logs and abuse prevention: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Error reports and Report a problem: our legitimate interest in finding and fixing faults in Riftline (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time by turning automatic reports off. Game traffic you attach: your consent, given by ticking it.

7. How long we keep it

Raw fight logs: 30 days, then only the computed report is kept.

Reports: until you delete them, or 30 days after upload if they are unlisted and not pinned.

Error reports: each report 30 days; the grouped summary of a problem (how often it happens, on which versions, the newest report) 180 days after it was last seen.

Report a problem: 180 days, with any picture of the meter. Game traffic: 30 days.

Deleted data leaves the live database at once and our backups within 30 days.

8. Who processes it for us

Supabase (database and functions, region [region]), Cloudflare R2 (log storage), Vercel (website hosting). Each acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Error reports, feedback and their files are stored with Supabase (database and a private storage bucket). [Confirm regions and transfer safeguards.]

9. Your rights

You can see, export and delete everything we hold for your install on My Riftline, at any time and without asking us. You also have the rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority ([authority]).

To have an error report or a problem report deleted sooner, write to support@solve4x.ai with its reference code (D-… or F-…), which Riftline shows when it is sent.

10. Children

Riftline Online is not meant for children under 16.

11. Changes

We will date every version of this policy and say what changed. Material changes are shown in Riftline before they apply.

Draft 0.2 (2026-10-30): added error reports from the Riftline app and Report a problem.

Draft 0.3 (2026-10-30): error reports and Report a problem are signed with the install key.
